Some Untried Indies...

Hey Everyone!!  Hope you all had a great weekend.  I was busy swatching yesterday (and listening to my husband swear at The Brown's Game on TV)..  I have so many Indies I haven't even tried yet, so I grabbed the first six that caught my eye.  Here they are...

HARE Polish Rad Cloud:

This is my first HARE Polish.  I've been wanting one since I first saw them like a year ago, but they weren't available for the longest time.  I finally got my hands on Rad Cloud and I really like it.  Pictured above is two coats of Rad Cloud over OPI Steady As She Rose.  I love the milky sheer pink base and the glitter combo is perfect (especially the squares!!)

Dollish Polish Toxic Avenger:

Toxic Avenger is another polish I've been holding on to for a long time because it's now hard to find.  Dollish Polish was another one of my first Indie purchases.  Toxic Avenger is a gorgeous multi-chrome holo.  This one looked different each time I looked at my nails.  The above pic is two coats in natural light...you can see the holo-goodness in direct sun (which we didn't have)  Love it!

Enchanted Polish Dizzy Mizz Lizzy:

Dizzy Mizz Lizzy has a coppery/red jelly base packed with micro holo glitter along with tons of other colors and shapes of glitter.  I like the formula a lot with this one, just not a big fan of coppers.  Pictured above is two coats of Dizzy Mizz Lizzy.

Oopsie Daisies Banana Split:

I just love this one.. it's the perfect representation of a banana split!!  I recently came across Oopsie Daisies Etsy store and knew I wanted Banana Split right away.  It has a gorgeous creamy banana-y base with pink, black and white glitters.  Pictured above is three coats with topcoat.

Darling Diva Polish Bazinga!

Ok, so I guess my new thing is creamy bases with square glitter... I'm just drawn to them lately.  Bazinga! by Darling Diva Polish is amazing!!  I love everything about it.. the formula, the glitter combo, the color, the base etc..  Pictured above is three coats followed by a fast-dry topcoat.

Nerd Lacquer Pinin' For The Fjords:

Pinin' For The Fjords has a beautiful lilac base.  I've seen this one swatched mostly over a solid base color, but I chose to wear it on it's own.  Pictured above is three coats followed by a thick coat of topcoat.  It's the perfect mix of silver, indigo, and aqua glitters.  I've been keeping my Nerd Lacquers hidden in my helmer because they are so hard to find, but decided to pull this one out for a pretty mani. :)

Dollish Polish Gym Tan Laundry (GTL)

Hey Everyone!!  It's the beginning of a new week and I have an amazing polish to start it off with.  It's Gym Tan Laundry by Dollish Polish..

Is it ironic I'm watching "The Real Housewives of NJ" while typing this??  LOL..  I really love GTL!  Dolly describes this polish as: "light ocean turquoise with varying shades of blue glitters and larger sandy copper glitter, this shade is inspired by the actual Jersey sea coast."  GTL is another one of my favorite indie polishes.. this formula is amazing!  Pictured above is two generous coats followed by China Glaze Fast Forward topcoat.  I wore this polish for three days with ZERO chipping (I'm sure I could have worn it longer, but I had to remove it so I could do more swatching).  I love the blue and copper together.. it's beautiful!!

Reverse Gradient using OPI and Dollish Polish

Happy Weekend Kids!!

Today I have a quick post of a Reverse Gradient I wore earlier this week.  I used OPI Red Lights Ahead..Where? for the red base and then sponged on Dollish Polish Welcome to Rapture..

Reverse Gradient:

My pinky and index finger have a bit too much Welcome to Rapture at the base of my nail, but overall I enjoyed this mani.  A few coats of China Glaze Fast Forward smoothed the grittiness of the glitter and I really love this tomato-y red.. Red Lights Ahead... Where??  I haven't worn much red lately, so this was a nice change.  :)

We're having people over tonight for my husband's birthday.  My nails are currently naked... What should I do with them??  I'm thinking I'll try one of the new Spiderman Colors I finally got my hands on... hmmm?

Dollish Polish.. Putting On The Ritzzz!

Ok, so it's pretty safe to say Dollish Polish is probably my favorite Indie Seller at the moment!  Her polishes are unique and beautiful and she has amazing customer service... I know, I know.. I sound like a broken record, but I just love her creations!!

Putting On The Ritzzz! is one of those famous "dupes."  Everyone is in love with these familiar black and white glitters, including me!  :)  Pictured below is just one coat of POTR over thebalm's Hot Ticket Sky Blue Right Past You.

Putting On The Ritzzz! is full of tiny black glitter, along with medium black and white hex glitter in a clear base.  Simplicity never looked so good!!  I almost applied this one over a pink polish, but I've swatched so many pinks lately, I decided on this pretty light blue.  This polish was sooo easy to work with and you only need one coat!!

Girly Girl Challenge Day 5- Gotta Love Chick Flicks

It's already day 5 of the Girly Girl Nail Art Challenge!!  Not sure if this post actually counts as "nail art", but these two polishes go wonderfully with this post.  Today we're supposed to wear a mani inspired by our favorite "Chick Flick."  I can do better than that!!  I have two polishes named after one of my favorite Chick Flicks.. "Pretty in Pink"

Another gorgeous polish from Dolly at Dollish Polish.  This one is sheer and I probably should have applied it over a solid base, but after four coats opacity is full and it's a beauty!!

Nostalgic Nail Lacquer also has a few polishes named after the movie Pretty in Pink.  I have the one named "Andie" who is Molly Ringwald's character's name..

Nostalgic Nail Lacquer Andie:

Andie is a milky light pink cream base with large pink hex glitter and purple and pink small glitter.  This one is sheer also.  This is four coats.  I love both polishes..  you really can't go wrong with pink in my book!! :)

Dollish Polish.. I'm a Material Girl

I have such a gorgeous polish to share with you today.  It's another Indie Polish created by Dollish Polish, a polish designer I'm so impressed with!!  I started buying her polishes as soon as I saw she had some named after two of my favorite movies.. (Sixteen Candles and Heathers).  Dolly makes wonderfully unique polishes and her customer service is second to none!!

Today's polish is named after "Material Girl" by Madonna.  Remember the video?  No?  Well, here it is:

Yeah, I love Madonna, so I had to have this polish too.  I should have ordered a large bottle of  I'm a Material Girl because it's such a gorgeous pink!!

I'm a Material Girl:

This is two coats of I'm a Material Girl, one coat of Gelous, followed by one coat of China Glaze Fast Forward.  The application was amazing for a glitter..  I didn't have to fish around for the larger pieces and they were easy to maneuver once on the nail.  I really love pink, black and white together, so I really love this polish!!

I just ordered a few more polishes from Dollish Polish.  I'm starting to build quite the collection :)

Dollish Polish.. Love Me Tender and Love is a Battlefield

Happy Saturday Everyone!  No Skeptical Saturday Mani today.  I have too many Valentine's Day Manis and not enough time!!  Valentine's Days is Tuesday!!  

Today I have two more colors to share with you from DOLLISH POLISH!  I'm slowly becoming obsessed with her frankens.  Love Me Tender and Love is a Battlefield were sold as a Love/Anti-Love Duo for Valentine's Day.  Love Me Tender is a soft girly pink for those of you who believe in true love and all the mushiness that is Valentine's Day.  Love is a Battlefield is a bold red with black glitter for those of you who've had your heart broken and detest everything Valentine's Day stands for...

Here is Love Me Tender:

Above pictures are three coats of Love Me Tender over one coat of Essie French Affair.  Love Me Tender has a sheer pink base with micro red red glitter and scattered medium silver hex glitter.  This one is so girly and dainty.  It's the perfect Valentine's Day Pink!

Here is Love is a Battlefield:

Above pictures are two coats of Love is a Battlefield over China Glaze Hey Sailor.  Love is a Battlefield is full of micro red glitter and medium black glitter in a clear base.  This polish reminds me of a broken heart, beautiful, but broken..  Both polishes have excellent formula and were pretty easy to work with.  I had to dig deep for the larger glitter in Love Me Tender, but it wasn't that big of a deal.

Dollish Polish.. I Love Jake Ryan and Nice Scrunchy, Heather.

Hey Everyone!!  I'm really excited about today's post!  I recently discovered Dollish Polish on Etsy, ordered a few, swatched two and fell in love already!!  I'm totally new to this brand, but it seems all (or  most of) the polishes are named after movies and the two I chose to show you today are named after two of my all-time favorite movies.. Sixteen Candles and Heathers!!

First up is I <3 Jake Ryan:

Sixteen Candles is my all-time favorite movie EVER. HANDS DOWN.  This color could have been completely repulsive and I would have bought it just for the name!!

I <3 Jake Ryan was inspired by the color of Molly Ringwald's (Sam's) bridesmaid's dress from her sister's wedding at the end of the movie... (Remember her crazy sister took all those muscles relaxers right before her wedding???!)  Anyway, I'm not too crazy about the color LOL.  It's a sheer light lavender.  Pictured above is three coats.    Don't get me wrong, the formula was fantastic, I just don't like frosty lavenders.

OK.. here is the part where I fell in love.  I also picked the color Nice Scrunchy, Heather because it's named after those red scrunchies all the "Heathers" would wear in the movie "Heathers."  Remember?..

All the popular girls wanted to be "red."  Red Everything.  I really have to re-watch this one!  It's a classic.

The polish Nice Scrunchy, Heather is a beautiful cherry red HOLO!:

Ahh.. we had zero sun when I swatched this!  I tried to capture the holo-goodness with the flash and you can definitely see it, but I wish the sun would shine soon around here because I'm excited to wear this one again!!  Nice Scrunchy Heather is so beautiful even in low light (see first picture).  Usually I'm not that crazy about holos indoors without sunlight, but this one is absolutely gorgeous!!  Nice Scrunchy, Heather is easily on my top 10 current favorite polish list!!  This polish applied like a dream..I barely had anything to clean up!  Two coats of Nice Scrunchy and you're good to go!!  I even went back to Etsy to purchase a full-sized bottle!!

I love Dollish Polishes!!  I just placed another order with her!!  You should definitely run quickly to Dollish Polish on Etsy and pick up a few today.  Prices are great and customer service & shipping are fantastic!!  I can't wait to receive my next order!! :)
