SoFlaJo Black Mamba

-Press Sample
Hey Everyone-- Today I have a quick post from SoFlaJo.  It's a new polish from her Halloween 2013 line called A Snake on the Hand is Worth Two on the Toes.  The polish I was sent for review is called Black Mamba.  Here are some of my photos:

SoFlaJo Black Mamba:

Jody, the creator of SoFlaJo Polishes always hits the nail on the head with her creations.  I really love Black Mamba!!  It's an ideal Halloween shade with it's thick black jelly base and green and scattered holographic glitters.  I used two coats of Black Mamba followed by top coat in the above photos.  Black Mamba has an excellent formula and is such a perfect Halloween color!!!

SoFlaJo I'm a Star-Fish

-Press Sample
Happy July Everyone!!  Today I'm working on a red, white, and blue water marble for the 4th of July..  I've missed doing them so much, so let's hope this one is awesome!  In the meantime, I have a gorgeous polish from SoFlaJo to share with you..

I'm a Star-Fish:

I'm a Star-Fish is from SoFlaJo's new Wet Dreams Collection.  It's a gorgeous yellow-green polish packed full of holographic glitter.  Application was a breeze and the formula is fabulous!!  You'll need some glitter tamer or a few coats of top coat to even-out the finish, but that's how Jody (the maker of SoFlaJo) created it.  Pictured above is two coats of I'm a Star-Fish followed by two generous coats of top coat.

Yule Tidings from The SoFlaJo Party Time Collection

Hey Folks... I think this week should be dubbed "Indie Week" because I have a ton of indies in my line-up to share with you.  This one is called Yule Tidings from SoFlaJo's Party Time Collection.  On to the swatches..

Yule Tidings:

direct sunlight

What I love most about Yule Tidings is the non-traditional green base.  It's more of a mossy green and it totally makes this beautiful holiday polish unique!  Yule Tidings contains micro red, green, and holographic glitters, and scattered larger hex glitters.  I decided not to layer this because I love the base, so I have two coats of Yule Tidings followed by topcoat.  The formula is awesome and it's smooth after just one coat of topcoat!!  Mark this one down as one of my holiday favorites!!

**The Party Time Collection is now available, but Jody at SoFlaJo is running a Cyber Monday Sale that will include FREE SHIPPING with a minimum $20 purchase and must be purchased from her website.  This sale is open to both domestic and international orders.  You can still shop her Etsy store, but the sale is only valid on her website.  Be sure to like SoFlaJo on facebook also.

SoFlaJo Sandy Shoes

Happy Friday Everyone!!  Today I have a beautiful indie polish to share with you from a very talented lady also named Jody (with a "Y" though lol) over at www.soflajo.com.  This shade is called Sandy Shoes and it's from SoFlaJo's new Life's a Beach Polish Collection...

Sandy Shoes (alone 3 coats):

Sandy Shoes is a beautiful golden shimmer with subtle hints of blue here and there.  It really does remind me of a beautiful beach.  Pictured above is three coats of Sandy Shoes followed by one coat of Sally Hansen Insta-dry topcoat.  It's such a pretty color to wear with a nice summer tan :)

Take a look at Sandy Shoes over a black creme:

Ahh.. I love how the shimmer stands out over the black!!  Jody at SoFlaJo says this reminds her of the famous black sands of Hawaii, I think it's just absolutely stunning!!  This is one coat of Sandy Shoes over a black creme followed by Sally Hansen Insta-Dry.  The finish of Sandy Shoes is super smooth and the formula is sheer, but awesome!!  I really like this one layered!! :)

**Sandy Shoes and the rest of the Life's a Beach Polish Collection can be purchased here on Jody's blog and here on Etsy.**

Have a wonderful weekend Everyone!!

SoFlaJo Buttercup and Fields of Clover

Happy Weekend Everyone!!  I can't think of two better polishes to share with you on the rainy dismal day than these two cheerful beauties.. Buttercup and Fields of Clover from SoFlaJo's Spring Flowers Collection..

Two Coats of Buttercup alone:

Jody at SoFlaJo describes Buttercup as: "a soft shimmery yellow."  I love yellows, but they usually don't go well with my skintone, but Buttercup is soft and subtle enough to make the exception.  I love how delicate it is.  It's creamy, yet shimmery..like a buttercup :)  Pictured above is two coats.

Fields of Clover over Buttercup:

Jody describes Fields of Clover as: "a lively green based micro-glitter bursting with greens, golds, purples and pinks."  I love a good micro-glitter and Fields of Clover may be one of my favorites!  Application was smooth and flawless.  Pictured above is two coats of Fields of Clover over Buttercup.  The glitters sparkle so pretty in different light.  This one's a "keeper."  :) .. Check out my friend, Erika's post of Fields of Clover over a green base, it's gorgeous!!

**You can purchase polishes from SoFlaJo's Spring Collection here on her website or here on her Etsy Store.  Also, don't forget to like SoFlaJo on facebook.**
