Glitter Gal.. Enchanted and a little stamping..

Pink Wednesday?  Yep.  Every day is a pink day for me :)  I've been swatching a lot of shiny polishes lately because we've been blessed with sunshine, or should I say we "were" blessed with sunshine. (it's raining now.)  Anyway, I took advantage of the sun and here is a pink holo I chose to swatch...

Glitter Gal Enchanted:

I love pink and I love holos, but I gotta admit.. I really wasn't that impressed with Enchanted.  It was hard to capture the holo effect even in direct sun.  I know sometimes my camera won't capture the holo glow, but with this one, the holo effect really wasn't that strong.. especially compared to 10 to Midnight.  I still liked this polish.. it's a pretty color, application was a breeze, AND I wore it for three days without chipping (that's a long time for me).

I purchased Enchanted at Llarowe's online store a few months ago for $14.  I don't see it in stock now, but there are other great Glitter Gals available.

So, after day three of this mani, I decided to "spice it up" a little with some stamping.  I've only attempted stamping a handful of times, so I was pretty happy with this one:
I stamped with Essie Size Matters and used Konad plate m60.  I'm getting better each time I stamp.. yay!!

Happy Hump Day!!

OPI.. DS Magic and a Christmas Tree..

AHHH.. It's Christmas Eve Eve and I'm stressin'.  I did manage to wrap all my presents today, though..  Are you all ready??

Today I have a gorgeous deep blue sparkle to share with you.  It's OPI's DS (Designer Series) Magic...

DS Magic is such a rich, deep royal blue... it's almost too blue.  It screams BLLLLLUUUUEEEE!  LOL.. I do like it, though.  I'm really liking blues lately.  DS Magic is filled with purple, pink and blue sparkle although my camera only captures the blue.  The finish is like a foil except the formula isn't as dense as most foils.  Pictured above is three generous coats.  I decided to get a bit creative and stamp a Christmas Tree, but as you can see.. it's a bit crooked... ;)  Kinda reminds me of our tree down in the living room that's starting to dry up and lean to the right. :)

China Glaze... Hey Sailor

Here is a quick post of a gorgeous red!!  It's the perfect red for the holidays!!

China Glaze Hey Sailor:

This red is beautiful!  It's flawless.  In my opinion, this red would look great with any skintone.  Hey Sailor is in my top 5 favorite reds!!  Love it!  Pictured above is two coats
Then.... I went and screwed it all up with a failed stamping attempt....ahhh!  In my defense..This candy cane stamp kinda sucks, the bow looks good, but the candy cane part of the stamp wasn't deep enough up toward the top, so it looks jacked up.. oh well.  The little Holly Berries on my thumb are cute :) (This is a Konad plate. can't remember the number right now)

A Gradient Leopard.. (my 1st!)

I've had this Konad Stamping kit for a while.  Back in the summer I attempted to stamp and it was a total mess.  Since then, I've kinda pushed my stamping kit to the back of my helmer assuming I'd just never "get it."  I came across a beautiful Gradient Leopard Manicure on Rebecca Likes Nails the other day.  Rebecca posted an awesome tutorial, so I decided to give it a go one more time...

Here's what I used:
One Coat of Essie First Base Basecoat
Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear in Bubblegum Pink
Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear in Blue Me Away!
Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear in Deep Purple
Konad's Black Polish for stamping
Konad Plate M-57
OPI RapiDry TopCoat

Here's the first coat of Bubblegum Pink:
I sponged on Blue Me Away (just on 3/4 of nail):
After that dried, I sponged Deep Purple on the tips:
After all three colors were completely dry, I stamped on m-57:

Not too bad if I do say so myself.  I should have waited a little longer to apply the top coat as the black smeared a bit.  Maybe I'll order more plates and practice stamping.  This was fun :)

Green Mani with Zoya Ivanka and Essie Turquoise & Caicos

This green mani was hard for me because I only own like 5 greens.  I really need to branch out and try different colors than my "safe" pinks, reds, and browns.  I have a Konad Stamping Kit with like 6 plates, so I thought I would experiment with that, also.
First up is my favorite Essie... Turquoise & Caicos.  I love this creamy light turquoise.  Essie are my favorite to apply because the brush is so small which makes clean-up a breeze!

This is:
--1 coat Zoya Anchor Basecoat
--2 coats Essie Turquoise & Caicos
--1 coat Out the Door Topcoat

( I probably should have applied 3 coats of T&C as it was a bit runny and streaky)

I wanted to "spice" this manicure up a bit, so I removed the Essie from some fingers and applied Zoya Ivanka.  Zoya is another brand I absolutely love.  I love the bottle shape and the smaller brush.  Zoya's formula is amazing!

Ivanka is sheer, so I probably shouldn't have stamped with it because you can barely see the little green flowers on my thumb and ring finger. (Anyone know a good green for stamping?)

This 4 coats of Ivanka.  Ivanka reminds me of a green Charla (which is a magnificent blue by Zoya)

What's your favorite green polish??
