OPI Mariah Carey Holiday 2013 Part 1

-Press Sample
Hey Everyone!!  I'm back after a super hectic December!!  Let's start it off with six polishes from OPI's Mariah Carey 2013 Holiday Collection.  I'm sorry these are a tad late, but I just didn't have time last month.... The six I'm sharing with you today are reds and/or brownish.  I wanted to post these first so you could see how close each color compares to the others...

Cute Little Vixen:

OPI describes Cute Little Vixen as a "deep red- violet".  Yep, that pretty much sums this one up.  Application was great and full opacity was reached with two coats.

Underneath the Mistletoe:

Underneath the Mistletoe is easily one of my personal favorites from this collection.  (I actually wore this one Christmas Day).  Underneath the Mistletoe has a candy-apple red jelly-like base filled with teeny tiny micro red and silver glitters.  I used two coats in the above three pics.

In My Santa Suit:

In My Santa Suit is another traditional red that's highly pigmented and dries shiny and bright.  Again, I used two coats of In My Santa Suit.

Sleigh Ride For Two:

I really thought I'd love Sleigh Ride For Two because it's described as a "chocolate brown" (which is one of my favorite polish colors), but this one has some red shimmer that really throws things off for me.  I guess I'd just prefer a "cooler brown."  There were no problems with application, though.  Pictured above is two coats!!

All I Want for Christmas (is OPI):

All I want for Christmas (is OPI) is another personal favorite of mine!  It's just a red creme with gorgeous shine and awesome formula.  If you're looking for a basic staple red... I'd highly suggest All I Want for Christmas (is OPI)!!  Pictured above is two coats. (OPI describes this as a "maroon", but I'm just not seeing it)

Visions of Love:

Visions of Love
is to die for!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  In the bottle, I never would have thought I'd love this one so much.  Even after the first coat, I was skeptical as the formula is a bit thin.  After three generous coats, you have this dark vampy burgundy that's amazing!!! (Sorry for the stained cuticles.. after swatching all these dark colors, my cuticles suffered a bit)

Mariah Carey Holiday is available now at Professional Salons, including Beauty Brands, Beauty First, Chatters, Dillard’s, jcp Salons, Pure Beauty, Regis, Trade Secret, ULTA and ulta.com for $9.00 ($10.95 CAN) suggested retail for each nail lacquer.

OPI San Francisco Collection Part 2

-Press Sample
Happy Weekend Everyone!!  Today I have the remaining six polishes from OPI's San Francisco Collection!!  I meant to post these earlier, but totally forgot!!  Here is my post on the other half of this collection.

Muir Muir On The Wall:

Muir Muir On The Wall is a shimmery plum/eggplant with tons of shimmer.  The first coat goes on thin, but after a generous second coat, full opacity was reached.  This is one of my personal favorites from this collection!

In The Cable Car-Pool Lane:

These photos of  In The Cable Car-Pool Lane are in artificial lighting.  I'd rather take my shots in natural light, but it's been so gloomy here lately.  In The Cable Car-Pool Lane is such a gorgeous color!!  It's a purple-burgundy creme with a glossy finish.  I used two coats in the above photos.

I Knead Sour-Dough:

I Knead Sour-Dough is a rusty brown shimmer.  Personally, this color is just kinda "meh" for me, but formula-wise it's great.  Pictured above is two coats of I Knead Sour-Dough.

Dining Al Frisco:

I just love Dining Al Frisco!!!!  I love everything about it!!!  The formula, the shimmer, the color etc...  It's such a gorgeous light blue.. "fresh air blue" is how OPI describes it and I agree 100%!!  Pictured above is two coats of Dining Al Frisco.

Incognito In Sausalito:

Yep, yet another navy polish. I feel like I own a zillion!!  Incognito In Sausalito is pretty.. just nothing extraordinary.  It stained my cuticles a bit also.  I used two generous coats in the above photos.

First Date At The Golden Gate:

First Gate At The Golden Gate is a shiny brick red creme.  It's very similar to Lost On Lombard (also from this collection).  I like this one more... the finish is just so beautiful.  I did used three coats to reach full opacity though.

San Francisco nail lacquer shades each feature OPI’s exclusive ProWide Brush for the ultimate in application. Liquid Sand nail lacquers should always be worn without top coat. San Francisco by OPI is available at Professional Salons, including Beauty Brands, Beauty First, Chatters, Dillard’s, jcp Salons, Pure Beauty, Regis, Trade Secret, ULTA and ulta.com for $9.00 ($10.95 CAN) suggested retail for each nail lacquer.

OPI San Francisco Collection Part 1

-Press Sample
Happy Monday Everyone!!  I'm back today with six of the beautiful polishes from OPI's San Francisco Collection for Fall & Winter 2013.  OPI's Fall Collection is always my favorite collection each year.  I love darker deeper colors and this collection does not disappoint..  Let's take a look...

A-Piers to be Tan:
direct sunlight

direct sunlight
A-Piers to be Tan is a light caramel-y tan creme that leans just slightly toward orange.  This isn't a color I would normally wear, but it's pretty nonetheless.  I used two coats in the above photos.

Haven't the Foggiest:

This metallic gray reminds me of an OPI DS color... well, the formula does anyway.  Haven't the Foggiest is a dense silver/gray shimmer with an awesome formula.  Two coats were used.

Lost On Lombard:

Lost On Lombard is a simple brick red creme.  This collection contains two deep red cremes (I'll be sharing First Date at the Golden Gate in my next post).  The formula with Lost On Lombard wasn't the greatest.. it was a bit sheer.  I should have added another coat, but I used 2 coats in the above 3 pics.

Peace & Love & OPI:

Peace & Love & OPI is really quite stunning.  It has a grey/silver base with a green and purple duochrome effect.  Your nails will be constantly shifting while wearing this one.  The formula was perfect... another two-coater with Peace & Love & OPI!

Embarca-Dare Ya!:
direct sunlight

I just love Embarca-Dare Ya!  It's a magenta shimmer with tiny golden flecks.  My pictures don't do this one justice.  I love pinks and this deep shiny pink is just gorgeous!!  Again, great formula.. two coats!

Keeping Suzi at Bay:
direct sunlight

Keeping Suzi at Bay is such an amazing blue!  These pictures captured it a bit lighter than it actually is.  Keeping Suzi at Bay isn't quite navy, but close.  The formula is a bit sheer, which is odd for a color this rich, but I still only used two coats.  And... this one had minimal staining which is always a plus with a deep blue polish.  Keeping Suzi at Bay is a keeper!!

**I will be back soon with the remaining 6 polishes from this collection!!
