Here's what I used:
One Coat of Essie First Base Basecoat
Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear in Bubblegum Pink
Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear in Blue Me Away!
Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear in Deep Purple
Konad's Black Polish for stamping
Konad Plate M-57
OPI RapiDry TopCoat
Here's the first coat of Bubblegum Pink:
I sponged on Blue Me Away (just on 3/4 of nail):
After that dried, I sponged Deep Purple on the tips:
After all three colors were completely dry, I stamped on m-57:
Not too bad if I do say so myself. I should have waited a little longer to apply the top coat as the black smeared a bit. Maybe I'll order more plates and practice stamping. This was fun :)

I love this. I've never tried sponging and I've never had a successful animal print manicure but seeing this makes me want to try again :-)
ReplyDeleteNice! You make it look so easy. I also have the Konad stamping kit and it is also put in a drawer somewhere. I don't know if I have this plate but if I do, I want to try this out. Looks great.

ReplyDeleteDo you clean your plates between each finger? It always seems like when I try stamping my first nail looks good and the rest don't apply correctly. Just wondering what you do? Thanks!
ReplyDeleteHi Stephanie.. I'm not that great at stamping lol, but yes, I do clean the plate after each finger :)
