Two Halloween Polishes from Wonder Beauty Products

-Press Sample
Just a quick post today of two Halloween Polishes from Wonder Beauty Products.

First up is Calico Pumpkin...

Calico Pumpkin:

Calico Pumpkin has a really pretty base that's not quite black, not quite brown... it has golden copper shimmer that accents the orange and fuchsia glitters perfectly!!  I used two generous coats of Calico Pumpkin followed by top coat.

Buddy Vampire:

Buddy Vampire has such amazing depth!!  It has a blackened base filled with violet and red glitters.  This one shines beautifully in the sun!!  I used two generous coats of Buddy Vampire, too...  love both of these polishes for Halloween and all year 'round!!

My Ten Friends Halloween 2013

-Press Sample
Hey Everyone!!  Happy New Week!!  October is winding down, so I'll be sharing some Halloween Collections with you this week..  The first one up is "In Space, No One Can Hear You Scre-" by My Ten Friends.

Photo courtesy of My Ten Friends
Vampire Planet:

Mei-Lynn at My Ten Friends describes Vampire Planet as a "bloodied pink raspberry polish with flashes of delicious purple."  This one also contains larger black hex glitter and scattered holo glitter.  I really love the base color of Vampire Planet.. it's such a gorgeous pink.  In the above three photos I used two generous coats plus a thick coat of top coat.  The formula was a bit thick, but Mei-Lynn is already aware of this and is working on thinning out further batches of Vampire Planet.

Alien Blood:

I'm in love with Alien Blood!!!  The base is a "murky green", but it's still so beautiful and I just love the green and black glitters scattered about!!  The lime squares are my favorite!!  What gorgeous color combos!!!  I again applied two coats followed by topcoat.

Galaxy of Terror:

Galaxy of Terror is: "galactic black nail polish super charged with loads of silver and holo glitters."  I love the red glitters too, especially the random red hexes!!  I really like this polish because the base is transparent enough to allow all the amazing glitter to shine through!!  The formula was great with this one too!!  Two coats with topcoat!!

42:

Mei-Lynn also sent me a bottle of the re-formulated 42 to review. (This is not part of the Halloween Collection.)  This polish has a gorgeous light blue base with blues, greens and holo gold glitter scattered about!!  Another two coater!!  Love this one also!!

Pink of Hears Duo 2013
OPI has released another duo in support of  breast cancer research...This is the Pink of Hearts Duo for 2013.  It contains a classic pink creme called Pink-ing of You and a matte glitter called More than a Glimmer.  There are also some cute pink ribbon and crystal decals..

I love both polishes in this duo.  Pink-ing of You is a classic bubblegum pink shade with a semi-sheer formula.  I used three coats for full opacity.  More than a Glimmer is basically Rainbow Connection, but in a sheer matte pink base.  I also used two generous coats of More than a Glimmer, followed by top coat.  What cute polishes for a great cause!!!!

This duo pack is designed to raise awareness and funds for breast cancer research and support. In 2013, OPI will donate $25,000 in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month (October) to Susan G. Komen®. OPI will also donate $5,000 to Rethink Breast Cancer in Canada.

LVX Fall Collection 2013

-Press Sample
Hey Everyone..  I'm back today with another Fall Collection.  This time it's from LVX, a fairly new luxury brand of polish that I've totally fallen in love with...  Let's take a look at the new fall colors...

Cliquot:

Cliquot is described as a "whimsical rose."  The color seems much more "peach" to me.  I'm really not seeing much pink, but Cliquot is still pretty.  It's a nice neutral color and the formula is great.  I used two coats in the above pictures.

Cashmere:

Cashmere is a really pretty light concrete gray.  Grays are perfect for fall and this one has the same great creamy formula as Cliquot.  Once again, two coats were used.

Viridis:

Viridis is a deep emerald with strong blue tones and it's absolutely amazing!! This one is a favorite of mine from this collection.  Emerald is the "it color" right now and Viridis is different enough to add to all your other emerald polishes.....AND.. Viridis had minimal staining!!  Yay!!  Two coats of Viridis were used in the above three photos.

Azzurrum:

Azzurrum is described as a "timeless navy."  Yep, that describes it perfectly.  I own about two zillion navy polishes, but if you don't own one or you're looking for a new navy, I'd recommend Azzurrum.  It has a great formula and gorgeous color.  Another two coater.

Relique:

Relique is supposed to be a taupe, but it's more like a deep gray with purple undertones.  I really like this color.  I wore it on my toes as soon as I received it in the mail.  The formula is a tad streaky (at least my bottle was).  I should have applied three coats, but pictured above is two coats of Relique.

Dahlia:

Yowza.... I L.O.V.E. Dahlia!!!  It's a vampy burgandy with a beautiful shiny finish!  The formula is a bit sheer, so I used three coats of Dahlia.  This one does stain, but not too badly.  I'm gonna sport this one on Halloween!!  Love it!!

LVX products are VEGAN and formulated without the use of Formaldehyde, Formaldehyde Resin, DBP, Toluene, and Camphor. LVX is a no compromise nail lacquer that has superior formulation, is socially responsible and eco friendly.  LVX nail lacquer is cruelty free.

All products are produced in the U.S.A. The new collection is available now on www.shoplvx.com.

The Polish Bar Fall 2013

-Press Sample
Happy New Week everyone... I hope your Monday is a great one!!  My birthday was Saturday, so I hated to see the weekend come to an end, but here we are.. another Monday.. sigh..

I have four polishes from The Polish Bar's Fall Collection to show you all today.  I really love any polish from The Polish Bar.  They're all made with genuine care and great customer service from their creator, Janice!!

Cosmic Glow:

Cosmic Glow is a subtle lavender-pink holo.  This is such a dainty, girly polish.  It reminds me of a princess. :)  I used three thin coats for a nice even finish.  The holo effect looks like rainbow sprinkles.  :)  Gorgeous!

Lucky Jade:

Lucky Jade is so gorgeous.  The holo effect is a bit more prominent with this one.  The base color is a beautiful minty green.  I used two generous coats of Lucky Jade in the above three pictures.

Sunset Beach:

Sunset Beach is a milky white crelly that contains tiny turquoise sprinkles, peach and pink hex and dots.  I applied two coats of a white creme polish, then added two thin coats of Sunset Beach followed by top coat.  The white cream base really makes milky crellies pop a bit more.

Candy Sprinkles:

I reallllly like Candy Sprinkles!!!!  It's another white milky crelly with the same formula as Sunset Beach, except this one contains lavender daisies, dark pink hearts, and light blue stars.  There are also lime green, purple and light blue hex glitters in Candy Sprinkles.  Give this one a good shake or maybe try to store it upside down the night before you apply it so the glitters mix well.  Once again, I applied this over a white cream followed by top coat. This is such a fun polish!!
