One of our polishes plays off the color of the year, Emerald Green, and will ease people into the summer while two others were inspired by the fall 2013 Pantone colors Koi and Vivacious. Both will make for an easy transition through the summer and into the fall.  We are also excited to unveil two scented cuticle oils in an easy-applicator pen.  We hope to inspire and motivate people to go out in the sun and show off their nails!” says Rose.

Zoya PixieDust Summer 2013

--This collection was sent for review
Happy Wednesday Everyone!!  I'm scheduling this post ahead of time because I'll be in New Mexico on vacation for the next week!!  Yay!!  So, if you don't see another post from me until next week, don't fret..  I'll be back :)

I know a lot of you have already seen a zillion swatches of Zoya's Summer PixieDust Collection, but here's one more.. This collection is beautifully bright for summer..

Solange:

direct sun

Zoya describes Solange as: "A gold metal foil sparkle."  I'm not a huge fan of yellow-golds.  They just don't mesh with my skin tone.  I like Solange much better in the sunlight (last pic).  The formula is flawless, though.  Two coats and you're set!

Beatrix:

direct sun

Zoya describes Beatrix as: "A tangerine metal sparkle."  I love Beatrix.. She's my favorite of this collection!!  I've been loving orange polishes this season and Beatrix is just amazing!!  Even though Beatrix is listed as a "warm" color, I love her against my skin (which usually looks much better with cool tones)  Yay for Beatrix!  She's THE PERFECT orange matte textured polish!! :)

Destiny:

direct sun

Zoya describes Destiny as: "a coral metal sparkle."  I love Destiny also!!  Each of these polishes has such an awesome formula, it's almost too hard not to like them all!!  Destiny is a true coral--she's the exact color I picture when a coral polish is mentioned!  If you're a coral lover, I highly recommend this one!  Once again, two flawless coats!!

Stevie:

direct sun

Zoya describes Stevie as: "a violet sparkle."  Stevie is pretty.. she's more of a "lilac sparkle."  I was kinda hoping for a darker purple from this collection...(maybe there will be one in the Fall Collection).  Pictured above is three coats of Stevie (she's a bit more sheer than the others).

Liberty:

direct sun

Zoya describes Liberty as: "a blue sugary sparkle."  I absolutely love this color, but.. Liberty is a stainer and I couldn't get her to apply as evenly as the others.  Make sure you allow your first coat to completely dry before applying the second.  The depth of Liberty is truly gorgeous, just be sure to apply a few coats of base coat before you wear Liberty.

Miranda:

direct sun

Zoya describes Miranda as: "a rose sparkle."  She's much more raspberry than rose and she is beautiful!!!  Another favorite for me!!  It probably comes as no surprise though, as I'm a huge pink lover.  I wore Miranda for 3 days with minimal chipping.  Pictured above is two coats.

Ultra long-wearing, nail lacquers by Zoya are BIG5FREE - all formulas are completely free of harmful industrial chemicals such as toluene, camphor, formaldehyde, formaldehyde resin and dibutyl phthalate (DBP) that are known to cause cancer and birth defects.

Aphrodite Lacquers- TRUE LOVE AND HEARTBREAK

--These polishes were sent for review
Happy Weekend Everyone!!  Today I have two new polishes from one of my favorite indie makers, Aphrodite Lacquers!!  Rebecca, the creator, has this to say about her new collection, True Love and Heartbreak:

"There are 9 colors total: 6 heartbreak colors (the jelly sandwiches in a bottle), and 3 true love colors (the sparkly glittery topcoats). They aren’t necessarily meant to be worn together. I wanted to do 2 different summer looks that I love. First, I love jelly sandwiches in the summer, they look fresh and juicy and the sunshine really gives jelly sandwiches depth. Second, I love a good glitter topcoat in the summer, they look so sparkly and blingy and the sunshine really brings the metallic glitters to life."

I have one glitter topper and one "jelly sandwich" to show you guys today--

True Love Forever:

I have one coat of True Love Forever layered over black and followed by top coat in the above pictures.  True Love Forever is a beautiful glitter topper that contains red and pink shimmer with holo and metallic glitters.  I really like this over black-- you can see all the shimmer and glitter.  The circle glitter is my favorite!!

Forgotten Promises:

Forgotten Promises is a red/purple jelly sandwich in a bottle.  :)  The last picture represents the true color of this polish.. My camera kept capturing it more "purple."  This jelly contains matte white, silver holo and blurple glitters of various sizes and shapes.  I have two coats followed by top coat in the above pics.  I love a good jelly and this one is amazing!!

Color Secrets

--These polishes were sent for review
Happy Thursday Everyone!!  Today I have two polishes from a brand that's new to me called Color Secrets.  I just love discovering new brands, so I was excited to receive a couple of these polishes to share with you...

Gone With the Wind:

Gone With the Wind is a soft gray creme.  The formula with both polishes I have from Color Secrets is pretty thick.  The dry-time was about twice as long as a regular creme polish.  The finish is nice and shiny, you just have to be patient until Gone With the Wind dries.  I have two coats in the above pictures.

Notebook (with an accent nail using Gone With the Wind):

Notebook is a hot pink creme with the same formula as Gone With the Wind.  Hot pink creams are my favorite kind of polish :)  This color is so pretty!  I attempted to marble on my ring finger, but the formula of both polishes was almost too thick to use in a marble.  I have two coats of Notebook in the above 3 pics.

**Color Secrets polish is available here for $2.99 each.
**You can like Color Secrets here on Facebook.

Love Letter:

I love the red, white and pink squares in Love Letter!!!  This polish contains those squares plus tiny black specs and bars.  I have one generous coat of Love Letter over Zoya Dove followed by top coat in the above pictures.

Delush Polish

--These polishes were sent for review
Happy Weekend Everyone!  It's a beautiful one here!  I think spring is here to stay.. finally!  (Watch it snow tomorrow lol).  I have a new-to-me indie brand called Delush Polish to share with you today.  I first came across this polish on instagram, and was excited to receive a few for swatch and review.  Let's get started..

Ocean Sapphire:

Ocean Sapphire is from The Mystique Collection by Delush Polish.  It has such a gorgeous blue sheer jelly-like base with subtle holo and iridescent glitters.  It was fully opaque in two coats.  I love the "smoothness" of Ocean Sapphire.. it's such a beauty!

Glamazon:

Glamazon is also from The Mystique Collection.  It's a bright pink, but not too overbearing.  I actually love this shade of pink-- deep watermelon!  Glamazon seems to have about the same glitter mix as Ocean Sapphire.  I used two coats for full opacity, followed by one coat of top coat.  I should have added another coat of top coat for complete smoothness.

Lady Sybiling:

Lady Sybiling is from The Downton A-List Collection.  It has a gorgeous emerald green base that's densely packed with all sorts of teal and gold glitter and small black flecks.  I used two coats of Lady Sybiling, followed by a coat of gelous, then top coat in the above three pictures.  I love the glints of holo in the last pic :)
