OPI Oz The Great and Powerful.. swatches + review

Happy Weekend Everyone!!  I can't believe it's March already!  We're getting closer to springtime and warmer weather..  yay!!  Today's post is 7 polishes (3 soft shades, 3 glitters and 1 new Liquid Sand) from OPI.. Oz The Great and Powerful.

Glints of Glinda:

Glints of Glinda is a pretty warm nude beige.  This is a soft creme that took 4 generous coats to reach full opacity. (be sure to let each layer dry completely before applying the next).  I like this color against my skintone and I also like the finish of each of the three soft shades in this collection.  They're so clean and shiny.

When Monkeys Fly!:

Well, I was ready for the curling glitter in When Monkeys Fly!  I've read previous reviews, but I must say.. the curling wasn't as bad as I had anticipated.  Yes, there is curling, but the glitter is also reflective, so it actually looks worse than it is.  I love the concept of this glitter--large gold hex with micro holo glitter is a gorgeous combo.  The gold glitter is very thin, so you can smooth the glitter with top coat a bit.  Pictured above is two coats of When Monkeys Fly! over Glints of Glinda followed by top coat.

Don't Burst My Bubble:

Don't Burst My Bubble is a pretty soft pinkish white with the same formula as Glints of Glinda.  I used four coats in the above photos.  Very delicate and clean.

Lights of Emerald City:

I'm a huge fan of square glitter, so I reallllly like Lights of Emerald City.  It's full of white and iridescent squares in a clear base.  I used two coats over Don't Burst My Bubble in the above pictures.  I'm excited to try Lights of Emerald City over dark colors too!  This formula is great!!

I Theodora You:

Whoa!  I LOVE I Theodora You!!  Pink is my favorite color and this shade is just so soft and beautiful.  This one was a bit more opaque than the other two soft shades in this collection although I chose to use four coats again.  I just love the color and the finish!  It's a perfect soft pink!!  It reminds me of my wedding :)

Which is Witch?:

Ok, OPI, you're really impressing me with most of your recent glitters!!!  Which is Witch? has holo hex, silver hex, silver bar and silver and hold micro glitter and shimmer.  It's so pretty when you catch the holo shine!  There's a lot going on with this glitter topper, yet it seems so simple.  I used just one generous coat of Which is Witch over I Theodora You in the above photos.

What Wizardry is This?

top coat was added in this picture
What Wizardry is This? is, hands down, my favorite of all the Liquid Sand Polishes!!!!  I just love it!!  I love the golden brown color and I love the softer texture!!  To top off how much I love this one... the formula is perfect too!!  I used two coats of What Wizardry is This? in the above photos. (I did add top coat in the last picture to show you just how gorgeous it is worn that way also).  I wore this for two days with no chips and it was incredibly easy to remove!! Two big thumbs up for WWIT!!

**I must admit, I usually don't care for the soft shades that are released from OPI about this time every year, but I really liked every polish in this collection (except When Monkeys Fly!-- and that one wasn't a complete disaster).  The soft shades will be perfect for wedding-wear, the glitters will be perfect to dress-up any color, and What Wizardry is This? is just plain perfection!!!!  I am a very impatient person, so applying four coats of the soft shades (and allowing them to dry between each coat) kinda drove me bonkers.  I'm going to have to watch this movie because I think of reds, yellows and bright colors when I think of The Wizard of Oz.. maybe this movie is different??.
