Color Club.. Cold Metal and Jingle Jangle

Hi Everyone.. I hope you all had a nice weekend!  Today I have pictures of two gorgeous blues from Color Club.  I was lucky enough to know someone who could get these at a Ross seeing that we have none here in Ohio.  The first color is Cold Metal from Color Club's "Foiled" Collection..

This blue is truly stunning.  I've had a "thing" for blues ever since I wore Orly Sweet Peacock on my toes a few months ago!!!  Cold Metal is a beautiful "foiled" blue.
Cold Metal applied like a dream.  I'm really impressed with Color Club's formula and application because I really can tell no difference between a Color Club and let's say... an Orly, Zoya or OPI.  Full opacity was reached with just one coat, but I'm a habitual "two coater", so these pictures are two coats of Cold Metal

Color Club came out with a set called "Beyond the Mistletoe" shortly after the "Foiled" set.  The colors in the Beyond the Mistletoe collection seem to correspond with the the Foiled colors as there is a glitter to match each foil.  The "match"  to Cold Metal is called Jingle Jangle..

Jingle Jangle is tons of small blue glitter with pink and silver too!  This glitter is in a clear base, so layering it is the way to go.

The sun popped out just long enough for me to capture Jingle Jangle in a bunch of different angles!  I love this glitter.  It's a "simple glitter" (if that's possible) that compliments Cold Metal perfectly!!  Nice job, Color Club!!  (I still have this on my nails... I'll have to update you if there's much staining)

That's all for today.... except, have you entered my 50 Follower Giveaway yet??  What are you waiting for?? ;)

Zoya.. Izzy and Kissy

Happy Saturday All!  Today I have two Zoyas from their Gems & Jewels Collection.  I have all of the shades from Gems & Jewels, but chose to swatch these today.  I did an entire manicure with these because I wanted to keep these colors on for a couple days..

Here is Izzy:

I love Izzy.  This shade is right up my alley as I'm drawn to hot pinks and reds.  Izzy is a medium berry colored shimmer that applied so smoothly.  (I haven't came across a zoya yet that was difficult to apply).  This is two coats, but I really could have gotten away with just one.

If I were wearing Izzy alone, I really wouldn't need a top coat... Look how brightly she shines!!

Next, I added Kissy:

Kissy is one of three glitters in the Gems & Jewels Collection.
I almost thought Kissy had a pink base, but it's just so densely packed with pink glitter it looks like the base is pink when it's actually clear.  This is the first time I've swatched a bar glitter.  I love it!  I know some people think it looks odd, but I like it!! The bar glitter in Kissy is holographic, so in different lighting, you can see a zillion different colors!!
Since I did an entire manicure with these two, I decided to take a picture of my right hand for a change. Seeing that I'm right-handed, obviously it's easier to paint my left hand.  I don't think I did a bad job.  Taking the picture with my left hand was harder than painting with it!!  :)

Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your weekend!!

Girly Bits...

I ordered a few polishes from a fellow blogger a few weeks back and I just had to show you all how gorgeous they are.  These 3 polishes are from the Sea's the Day Collection by Girly Bits.

First up is Stormy Skies..
This color reminds me of a periwinkle crayon... That was always my favorite color in that big ole 64 count Crayola box!!  I really like Stormy Skies.  It's filled with tiny goldish-green glitter.  I should have applied it as a topcoat over a darker color so you could see the shimmer better.

Next up is Denim Diva..

I adore this color.  It's so smooth and shiny!  This is 3 coats of Denim Diva.
I planned on applying Stormy Skies on Denim Diva for one of these pictures, but Denim Diva should not be covered as she shines too beautifully on her own!!

Last, but not least is Razzle Dazzle..

I really need a gallon of this glitter madness!!!  There are tons of multi-colored glitter in a dark pink base.  This polish is my favorite out of the 3 I ordered from Girly Bits.
Razzle Dazzle was so smooth (for a glitter) to apply and surprisingly easy to remove. (Although I didn't want to take it off!)

Pam over at Girly Bits has done an amazing job with her polishes.  If you are interested in buying some for yourself, check them out here!

Happy Weekend!!

Galaxy Nails

Hey Everyone... I've really wanted to try "Galaxy Nails."  After looking over many tutorials and having some free time today, here is what I came up with:
Not too bad.  Here is a step-by-step tutorial of my own:
I started off with one coat of black onyx by OPI.  If I had a black shimmer, I would have used that.  I think it's definitely important to start with a black base.
To add sparkle, I added one coat of Tinsel Town by China Glaze.
Then, rip a make-up sponge in to small pieces.  I just poured a little bit of OPI's Alpine Snow on to a paper plate, dabbed the sponge in and carefully applied to each nail. (not over all of the nail--keep it toward the middle).
After the white dried, I did the same with China Glaze's Electric Pineapple... try not to cover too much of the white, and always leave some of the black/glitter showing.
After Electric Pineapple dried, I did the same thing with Zoya Yvette, being careful not to over-do it and cover up the other colors completely.
I applied China Glaze's Blue Iguana a bit more generously, seeing it's more of a midnight sky color
After my nails were completely dry, I sponged Hard Candy's Beetle generously over the entire nail ... Beetle is such a "Spacey" color.
Again, wait for everything to dry, then apply your moon, stars, planets, etc.. I couldn't find my dotting tools, so I used the end of a skewer and a bobby-pin.
The white dots took forever to dry.  I wish I would have found my dotting tools because the larger dots are too big for me.
Finally I used China Glaze's Fairy Dust as my topcoat and final step :)
Here is every color I used... Hope you enjoyed :)

Sephora by OPI.. What's Your Poison?

Ohhhhhh... I've been waiting to post about this polish since I won it on eBay.  I wanted to buy it online, but it was sold out...probably because it's amazing!!  Here is What's Your Poison by Sephora by OPI ...

This polish is a candy-apple red jelly base filled with tons of silver, white and pink glitter!!
What's Your Poison is from The Garden of Good and Evil Collection.  I also purchased a mini set from this collection which I will post soon!
I love pink, red, and glitters so I'm definitely loving this polish.  I even did an entire manicure instead of just swatching on one hand!  I wanted to wear this one for a while!!  I did apply 3 coats as the jelly base was a bit sheer, but I don't mind at all.  This polish is definitely in my top 20... ok, top 15!!  Two thumbs up for What's Your Poison!!

By the way, Have you entered MY 50 FOLLOWER GIVEAWAY yet???  Good stuff to be won!!

Have a good day Everyone!!

A few Kardashian Glitters...

I knew I had to have some of these as soon as I saw The Polish-alolic post swatches.  My friend, Erika (check out her awesome blog) picked these up for me at Walmart.  It seems like The Kardashian Kolors (Nicole by OPI)  are only being found at Walmart, and not Target.. I could be wrong about that, though...

First up is Disco Dolls... This is such a fun gold-based glitter.  What I really like about most of these glitters is they can be worn on their own.  After 2 coats, full opacity is reached.  With a lot of glitters this season (Muppets) you have to layer them because their base is too sheer.
Disco Dolls is so sparkly!!  I love all the different colored glitters.. just like a disco ball!!

Next is Wear Something Spar-kylie!  Love Pink, love this!!  It's another glitter based polish that applies thickly but evenly.  Only 2 coats needed with this one, too!
Wear Something Spar-kylie is a perfect classic pink and silver glitter!  So girly, I love it!!
Follow Me on Glitter is my least favorite of the first 3 glitters.  It's another silver based glitter and application was smooth, I just couldn't capture the all the different colors.  When you're not in direct light, this glitter just looks kinda dull.
Here's another shot of Follow Me on Glitter... It's basically just like Disco Dolls, but silver/grey.

L to R-- First 2 fingers Rainbow in the S-kylie, Second 2 Rainbow Connection
This last glitter is called Rainbow in the S-kylie and to me, it's an exact dupe of OPI's Rainbow Connection.  You'd think OPI would give them a slight variation, but they didn't.
The ONLY difference I can see is Rainbow in the S-kylie (first 2 fingers) is packed with a bit more glitter than Rainbow Connection (last 2 fingers)  In my opinion, if you own 1 of these, you don't need the other.

These colors are fun!  I really like Disco Dolls and Wear Something Spar-kylie.  Do you own any of the Kardashian Kolors yet?  Which are your favorite??
Dugan was a lobster for Halloween.  He hated it
