Weekly Water Marble 4/12/12

I look forward to Thursdays because I really enjoy water marbling.  My last few creations haven't been the greatest, but it's so much fun each time I try new colors or a new brand to marble with.  This week I chose some colors from the Zoya Beach Collection.  I used Wednesday, Tracie, Lara, and Arizona (over two coats of white)

A Zoya Marble:

Gorgeous cremes!!  I love these colors!!  I know a lot of bloggers really like to marble with zoyas, but the formula is a tad thick for me (which is a good thing for a "classic" manicure).  Although, I struggled with the thickness, this marble is still pretty (I especially like my thumb).  I had a problem with the dreaded bubbles again, but all-in-all, I like this week's marble. :)

*I will post another marble on Monday because I'm participating in a group-marble with some wonderful gals in a facebook polish group I belong to and we're all posting our marbles on Monday.. yay!!*

Elixir Lacquers.. With a K

Happy Pink Wednesday!!!
Today I have another gorgeous polish from Elixir Lacquers called With a K.  With a K is described as: "silver and electric violet holographic micro glitter with violet prismatic hexagon glitter, suspended in a violet jelly base."  I chose to layer With a K over one coat of Hot Ticket  Don't Pink and Drive..

Elixir Lacquers With a K:

Gah... another gorgeous polish by Elixir Lacquers!!  I did a post on Supa Sugar Bee about a month ago, and totally fell in love with that one.  Now, after wearing With a K, I'm swooning all over again.  Nicole over at Nail Polish Wars really knows how to create awesome polishes!!  The application was flawless, the formula was flawless, just everything about her polishes are flawless!!  Pictured above is two coats of With a K followed by a coat of China Glaze Fast Forward topcoat.  There was no sun when I wore With a K, but look at the micro holo glitter shine away!!  Perfection!!

Zoya Surf Summer 2012 Collection

Today I have Zoya's Surf Collection to share with you.  Last week I posted Zoya's Beach Collection and today I have the remaining polishes.  These six colors are all metallic foils and they're stunning!!

Zoya Surf Summer 2012 Collection:
Meg- indirect light

Meg- direct sunlight
Zoya describes Meg as: "light yellow-toned mermaid green with heavy gold and silver metallic shimmer and a sparkling foil finish."  Like Tracie from the Beach Collection, Meg is my least favorite of this bunch.  Just my personal taste, I'm not a big fan of greens.  Formula-wise, Meg was great.. full opacity was reached with two coats.

Zuza- indirect light

Zuza- direct sunlight
Zoya describes Zuza as: "Deep, saturated, oceanic turquoise with gold and silver metallic shimmer and a foil-like finish."  I really love this color.  Zuza compliments Wednesday so well.  The formula on this one was thicker and not as easy to work with as the other foils.  Pictured above is two thick coats.  I love the way Zuza sparkles like a tropical beach in the sunlight.

Kimber- indirect light

Kimber- direct sunlight
Zoya describes Kimber as: "rich, bright and saturated medium magenta pink with strong gold metallic shimmer and a foil-like finish."  I absolutely love Kimber!!  She my favorite out of the Surf  Collection.  I liked this color in the bottle, but once it was on my nails, I fell in love.  The formula with Kimber was almost a one-coater.  I applied two flawless coats in the above pictures.  Kimber will be worn often this summer (and all year long).

Rory- indirect light

Rory- direct sunlight
Zoya describes Rory as: "medium mauve pink with lilac tones, gold and silver reflective metallic shimmer accents, and a foil-like finish."  Rory is much like Shelby in the way she appears so different in different lighting.  Rory is your typical girly pink that reminds me of bubble gum.  Formula with this one was again amazing, reaching full opacity in two coats.

Carly- indirect light

Carly- direct sunlight
Zoya describes Carly as: "very rich, bold red-toned dark purple with iridescent red and silver metallic shimmer and a dense foil finish."  I like Carly because she doesn't have the gold-tones like the others.  I like the silver and red shimmer in Carly.  She was a little streaky, but this color is so pretty and unique from the others that a little streakiness doesn't even matter.  This one is definitely a one-coater, but I did apply two coats just out of habit.  Carly is a color that reminds me more of fall than summer, but she is so gorgeous, you can wear her during any season!! :)

**Unfortunately, my bottle of Myrta shattered during shipping :(  I knew as soon as I started to open my box from Zoya we had a fatality. :(  If one of these polishes HAD to break, I'm kinda glad it was Myrta. She has orange tones, and I don't care for most oranges or corals.**

Zoya has really outdone themselves with this Summer's Beach and Surf Collection.  There is something for everyone with these twelve beauties.  I love Zoya and the way they cater to their customers.  Their customer service is second to none. :)

You can buy Zoya polishes here on their website for $8 each.
Be sure to like them on facebook and follow them on pinterest.

These polishes were sent to me for review

Nail Venturous Lacquers Pinkerbell

Yep, one last Easter post to share with you.  This one is called Pinkerbell and it's another Indie Creation by Amy at NailVenturous Lacquers.  Amy's polishes are all the craze right now and I was lucky enough to have the chance to buy Pinkerbell before she opened her Etsy shop.  Amy describes Pinkerbell as: "matte blue and yellow fine glitter and bright pink ultra fine glitter in a clear base."  Pinkerbell can be worn alone with a few coats or as a layering polish.  I opted to layer it over a couple colors for this post..

Pinkerbell over OPI Pink Friday:

Pinkerbell over China Glaze Lemon Fizz:

Pinkerbell is so fun!  There are so many layering options.  Next time I'll try it over a lilac purple or light blue..  With both colors above I used two coats of Pinkerbell.  I didn't add Gelous over the top two pictures (with Pink Friday), but I did use a thin coat over the bottom two (with Lemon Fizz).  Both combos are topped with  China Glaze Fast Forward topcoat.  I love Amy's creations and I can't wait to see more of her beauties in the near future.  Keep your eye out for her Etsy shop to re-open... then hurry like mad to try to snag one of her pretties because they sell out FAST!!

**Pinkerbell can also be purchased at Ninja Polish!!**

Happy Easter!!!!!!

Candeo Colors Jellybean and Dolce

Hi Everyone!!  Here's another post with spring-y Easter colors.  These colors are from another Etsy Shop called  Candeo Colors.  So many new Indie shops keep popping up on Etsy and I love it!!

Candeo Colors Jellybean:

Jellybean is perfect for Easter... all those pastels mixed together look like a perfect design for a giant Easter egg!!  "Jellybean has a creamy yellow base with lime, pink and chartreuse shimmer.  Pink, purple and turquoise hex glitter is in the mix."  I love Jellybean.  Pictured above it two easy coats.  I love glitters that don't require underwear.  Jellybean has an awesome formula!

Candeo Colors Dolce:

Dolce is another beautiful glitter perfect for spring and Easter!!  "Dolce has a cotton candy pink base with dark pink shimmer and multiple sizes of white, holo purple, and silver hex glitter."  Of course, I love this one.. it's pink!!  It reminds me of Lex Cosmetics Tuilleries I just posted the other day.  Pictured above is three coats of Dolce (no underwear needed for this one, either)

**Keep checking CandeoColors' Etsy Shop.  They should re-open soon**
**You can also like Candeo Colors on facebook HERE!**

I'll be back tomorrow with one last Easter post!!

Weekly Water Marble 4/5/12

It's Thursday again and time for another water marble!!  This week I decided on an Easter-inspired marble.  For this marble I painted each nail with two coats of OPI Alpine Snow and for the actual marble I used: China Glaze Dance Baby, China Glaze Aquadelic, China Glaze Lemon Fizz and OPI Do You Lilac It?.

Easter Marble:

Ahh.. the water bubbles were bad with this marble!  I'm pretty sure it was because it was so cold the morning I did this.  I should have warmed the water up a bit in the microwave.  I do like the designs though and the colors totally scream:  EASTER!!!!!

Now, to decide what to try for next week's marble...  Hmmm?  Any suggestions??
