OPI Bond Girls Liquid Sand Polishes

--These polishes were sent for review

Hey Everyone!!  Hope you're all having a great week!  Mine's busy, but I had to swatch these new Liquid Sand polishes from OPI!!  I'm really liking these textured polishes.  I wasn't sure if I'd like them when they were first released, but the concept is pretty cool and the finish seems to last longer on the nail than regular polish.

"OPI announces the launch of Bond Girls, a collection of six new Liquid Sand™ nail lacquers featuring a textured, matte finish infused with reflective sparkle fitting the allure surrounding the Bond Girls.  In hues of white, pink, blue, purple, gold and coral, Bond Girls offers a range of shimmering shades with the distinctive Liquid Sand finish."

Tiffany Case:

Tiffany Case has a medium blue metallic base with silver and (I think I'm spotting a few black) glitters.  The finish with Tiffany Case is rougher than most of the others.  I have two coats of Tiffany Case in the above pics.  This one stained a bit, so I'd recommend using few coats of base coat before applying.  Tiffany Case is kinda close to Get Your Number--- swatched here.  I like the icy blue finish and scattered holo of Get Your Number better than Tiffany Case.  If I had to chose between the two, my choice would definitely be Get Your Number!
Solitaire:

Solitaire reminds me of Vanilla Bean Ice Cream. :)  It has an off-white base with sparse silver glitter.  I had to use three coats for full coverage with Solitaire.  It's important to allow each coat to dry before applying the next.  This dried to a smoother finish than Tiffany Case.  It's soft and delicate for a textured polish.
Jinx:

Jinx is gorgeous!!!  It's a coppery coral with pretty pink tones.  I'm usually not a fan of orange polishes, but I think it's the pink undertone that makes me love this one!!  The golden glow is beautiful in the sun and the finish isn't too rough or too soft.  I have two flawless coats of Jinx in the above pictures.  LOVE this one!!
Honey Ryder:

Honey Ryder is a shimmery gold that almost appears greenish (to me).  This is my least favorite of The Bond Girls.  The texture dries really rough with Honey Ryder and I don't think it's very flattering against my skin.  You can almost get away with only one coat, but I used two in the above photos.
Pussy Galore:

Pussy Galore is such a pretty shade of soft pink.  I love pink, so I'm a big fan of this one!!  The shimmer in Pussy Galore is just right--it's almost frosty, but I'm glad it's not.  This formula is similar to Solitaire.  I had to use three coats to hide my nail line and I'll stress it again- Wait for each coat to dry before applying the next!
Vesper:

In the bottle, I was just kinda "meh" about Vesper.  Once on my nails, I fell in love with it!!  With one coat, it reminds me of blackberry jam with the seeds.  Vesper has a deep purple jelly base with tiny specks of black throughout.  If you apply two very thin coats, the polish is transparent enough to see the black "seeds" and the pretty purple base.  If you apply Vesper too thick, it almost looks black.  I like the finish with Vesper too.. it's not too "sandy".  It seems to dry "just right."
**I really like OPI's Liquid Sand Polishes right now.  Yes, I think they'll be a fad similar to shatter, but fads aren't bad... you have them with clothing and hair.. so why not nail polish??!! LOL!  I also like the fact that these polishes last longer on your nails than regular polish.  OPI recommends not using a top coat with these, but try it.  I'm wearing a top coat with Jinx right now and I love the added shine!!  My picks from The Bond Girls are Vesper, Jinx and Pussy Galore (What's on your nails today, Jodi?? "Pussy Galore."  Yep, that's gonna be an awkward convo-- lol)**
Bond Girls by OPI nail lacquers feature OPI’s exclusive ProWide Brush for the ultimate in application. These six new shades will be available beginning May 2013 at Professional Salons, including Beauty Brands, Chatters, JCP Salons, Pure Beauty, Regis, Trade Secret, and ULTA, for $9.00 ($10.95 CAN) suggested retail for each nail lacquer.

  4. I'm loving Tiffany Case and Jinx. I figure that if the fad fades out, just top coat 'em and you'll be good. Although, if I like an 'out' style, I'll still wear it.
