Glitter Guilty

Hey Everyone!!  Happy Wednesday!!  Today I have a new-to-me indie brand called Glitter Guilty to share with you, plus some information about Glitter Guilty's Monthly Pleasure Box.

First up are the two polishes I have for review..

Grape Sorbet:

Grape Sorbet is a part of Glitter Guilty's Spring Sorbet Collection.  It has a lilac shimmery base with scattered fine holographic glitter.  It's such a soft and pretty polish.  The formula was just right.  I used three coats plus top coat in the above pictures.  I love the "rainbow sprinkles!" :)

Peaches and Cream:

Peaches and Cream is a coral crelly with dark orange hex glitter, white square glitter and red micro glitter.  This one also has a great formula.  I used two generous coats followed by top coat in the above pictures.  I'm usually not a fan of coral polishes, but this is dark enough to be almost-orange, so I like it.  The glitter ratio is perfect with Peaches and Cream!!

Shamrock Water Marble 2013

Hey Everyone!!  Sorry my posts have been sparse this week.  It's "busy season" at my salon and I've been working a lot the last few weeks.  I wanted to try another Shamrock Water Marble this year and here's what I came up with..

Shamrock Marble '13:

This marble is just kinda "meh" in my opinion.  The earth-tone colors are kinda drab, but I didn't have time to try another.  I used OPI Did You Ear About Van Gogh?, Sation Weed Out the Wimps, and Sation Magic Mani Bus (my very first Sations, btw).  I like my ring finger the best.. the lighter green color is prettiest as "the shamrock."

I definitely like this more.  I love the gold in this one!!

Precog from My Ten Friends

Hey Everyone!!  I have a sneak peek of a new polish from My Ten Friends!!  It's called Precog and it will be available Thursday!!  I was so excited when Mei-Lynn at My Ten Friends asked me to do some swatches of this new color for her.  I love her polishes; they are unique to any indie brand I own...

Precog:

Precog has a slate blue shimmery base filled with tons of micro glitter (mostly gold, teal, and holo) and larger gold and teal hex glitter.  I think I've mentioned this before, but I love the darker base color that doesn't overpower the glitter in most polishes by My Ten Friends.  I did a post on Dirtball here back in November and I just love the depth in that one and all of my polishes from My Ten Friends!!

Elevation Polish.. Kita and Stay Behind, Catch A Wave

Hey Everyone!!  It's a new week!  Are you guys all messed up like I am after "springing ahead"?  I feel like I had like no time at all to do anything on Sunday!!  Ugh.  Oh well, at least we have an extra hour of daylight!!

I finally jumped on the bandwagon and bought a couple Elevation Polishes.  I chose Kita and Stay Behind, Catch a Wave...

Kita:

Kita: "Dark charcoal color, silver shimmer, rainbow micro glitter."

Kita is such a "Me color."  I love grey polish.  It's my go-to-color (besides hot pink).  I love the formula with Kita.  I almost got away with just one coat, but added a second just out of habit then topped it off with top coat in the above pictures.  The rainbow micro glitters are amazing in the sunlight!  I'm in love with Kita!!

Stay Behind, Catch A Wave:

Stay Behind, Catch A Wave: "Slightly tinted blue base, 5 kinds of circle glitter (white, teal, and blue), iridescent hexes, micro holographic glitter in teal and green."

Hello, Beautiful Circles!!  In the above photos, I have one generous coat of Catch A Wave over OPI DS Magic followed by top coat.  I was surprised how easy this dense glitter was to apply.  I just dabbed a blob on my nail and dragged it where I wanted it without any problems.  All the glitter is silky smooth with just one coat of top coat.  I'm really loving this over DS Magic... such a pretty blue mix!!

**I'm really impressed with my first two Elevation Polishes!!  I now see what all they hype is about!!  Good stuff!!
