LVX Winter/Resort 2013 Collection

Happy Monday Everyone!  Today I have a gorgeous new collection from LVX to share with you.  It's The Winter/Resort 2013 Collection and it contains six amazingly beautiful colors. (I have a promo code at the bottom of this post for 30% off though 12/28/12).  I also have their 3 in 1 Treatment to review..

LVX Winter/Resort Collection:

Let's start off with the 3 in 1 Treatment:

This treatment works as a strengthener, basecoat and topcoat.  I really like the 3 in 1 Treatment by LVX.  I've been applying it as a strengthener for four days and I've been using it as a basecoat for all my swatches lately.  My nails are noticeably stronger and it works great as a basecoat.  I've used it for a topcoat a few times, but it isn't a "fast-dry" topcoat and I have no patience, so I probably won't be using it for my "go to" topcoat.  If you don't mind using a non-fast dry topcoat, this one is great once it's dry and does an excellent job at protecting your polish with a gorgeous shine!!

Creamfields:

Creamfields is such a pretty "winter white" with very subtle peach hues.  I wasn't crazy about this one in the bottle, but once I applied it to my nails, I fell in love.  The formula is a cream, but it's pretty sheer so I used three coats for full opacity in the above three pics.  I did apply the 3 in 1 Treatment on top of Creamfields so you could see the gorgeous glow.

Aubergine:

Aubergine is one of my favorite polishes EVER!!!  It's THE PERFECT eggplant cream, but I curse my camera for not capturing Aubergine's true color!  In real life this color is much darker and bluer.  My camera tends to make most purples look lighter and redder.  Image search "eggplant" and the true color of this polish will pop up..  LOL!  Pictured above is two flawless coats with no topcoat.. that shine is included with Aubergine... love.

Luxe:

I was excited to wear Luxe because it's the first shimmer I've tried from LVX and I wasn't disappointed!!  My first thoughts were: "Luxe would be perfect as a New Year's Eve Polish".  It's so sparkly and festive!!  Luxe is versatile (and you know I love a good versatile polish).. you can dress up any outfit with this!  And... it's a one-coater!!!  Seriously, I only used one coat in the above pics!!

Alchemy:

Alchemy is Luxe's sister-polish in gold.  It's just a brilliant and versatile as Luxe, but if you're drawn to golds, you'll love Alchemy!  The formula wasn't quite as opaque as Luxe, so I did use two coats of Alchemy in the above pictures!!  Hmmm, can't decide which one I like more..Alchemy or Luxe??  It's a good thing I own both! :)

Tribute:

Ahh, I have a love/hate relationship with blues.. especially dark deep ones like Tribute.  This color is gorgeous, but the potential to stain is so strong with blues.  Tribute is a royal rich shiny blue with a great formula, but it did stain.. ugh.  I will say it did NOT stain as badly as some blues, but my nails and cuticles (I tried so hard not to get any on my cuticles) had traces of this polish for a day or two.. It is lovely though, don't you think?  I have two coats of Tribute in the above pictures.

Dark Matter:

I'm a sucker for greys, so I knew right away I'd like Dark Matter (love the name)!  I really love this dark grey creme..  Yes, I have a few polishes similar to Dark Matter, but a girl can never have enough dark grey cremes (that's my philosophy anyway) :)  Pictured above it two coats of Dark Matter.

**Ok, so I'm head over heels about LVX!!  They are a new brand out of Chicago and their polishes are brilliant!!  Yes, they retail for $16, but I would totally rank them with Dior, Chanel, Deborah Lippmann and other "luxury brands."  LVX is my new favorite brand for 2012 and I recommend  you pick at least one up today.. especially since I have a 30% off promo code for you--  just use HOLIDAYBLOG30 and you will receive 30% off your entire order at shoplvx.com through 12/28/12!!!  (Grab Aubergine... it's amazing!!!)**

The long lasting, chip resistant and non-streak formula is free of harsh and toxic chemicals. LVX products are VEGAN and formulated without the use of Formaldehyde, Formaldehyde Resin, DBP, Toluene, and Camphor.
