OPI... Absolutely Alice

** Don't forget to enter my 300 Follower Giveaway.. You only have until Feb. 4th to enter! **

Today's post is a well known color by OPI called Absolutely Alice.  I was lucky enough to have the chance to buy this from a gal who found a few while "dusty hunting."  I didn't realize just how beautiful it was until I saw the bottle in person..

OPI Absolutely Alice:

Absolutely Alice has a zillion pieces of blue glitter in a clear base with a few specks of beautiful golden glitter scattered about.  It's such a stunningly pretty blue!  Although it's quite grainy, AA was fairly easy to work with.  Pictured above is three coats of AA, followed by a thick coat of Gelous, then a coat of  Poshe topcoat...  A classic beauty!!
Speaking of OPI-- I'm really looking forward to The Holland Collection that's due to be released Feb. 8th!!

Hope you're having a great week!! :)

    1. Hi Kriss..Gelous is a basecoat you can buy at Sally's and you use it over really gritty glitters to smooth them out some. Absolutely Alice is a discontinued color, so it's really hard to find. You might try looking on eBay. :)

    2. Thank you Jodi... So is Gelous the brand or if not what is the brand? You say its a base coat ...but said you apply over gritty glitters... so it could be used as a topcoat then?

    3. Yes, Gelous is the brand. It can be used as a base coat on naked nails, or as a "glitter tamer" on top of grainy glitters. After you apply the Gelous on Absolutely Alice, let it dry, then apply your favorite topcoat (mine is Poshe) :)

  3. This is gorgeous. Do you think it's similar to OPI Simmer and Shimmer?

    1. Hi Rachael, I don't have Simmer and Shimmer, but from the swatches I've seen Simmer and Shimmer is a paler blue with multi-colored glitter.. :)
